Personalized Sketches and Sentiments...
My blog is...
..."a bit about me", our family...
Awesome (aka son-in-law), Girly~Twirly, Girly~Whirly, Heartbreaker, me & my Handsome Hawaiian Honey.
(This is the most current photo of all of us together.)
...a bit about how my blog began:
Before the spring of 2009, I didn't even know what a blog was!
Our older daughter, Girly~Twirly (aka theluckiest mrs) showed us her wonderful blog! (I have her on my sidebar, although she hasn't been able to post in 7 months since she has been crazy, busy as a dentist).
You may have seen or even been a recipient of her Happy 101 Award that she created and passed forward.
I've done Personalized Sketches and taken orders at shows and through word of mouth...and have been asked over the years if I had a website.
(Computers to me were a challenge!...To give you a perfect example of this...for this post, I had it all set to post, except to add the slideshow, when I ended up accidentally deleting 3/4th of what I had completed!!! Agh!!)
***ALSO, Help! ...regarding a msg when I tried to edit on Safari "Client request is too large". ...so it wouldn't open up to my blog's dashboard. I decided to make each photo smaller and remove some of the links to the blog hop parties. But it still isn't allowing me to do anything on Safari! Have any of you had this message and problem? I was thakfully able to open up my dashboard on Foxfire.***

When our daughter won a blog design giveaway, she gifted it to me and so I jumped in and started my blog and my etsy shop at the same time. It was not long ago that I felt "computer confident" enough to get a facebook page set up for Personalized Sketches.
&
the Personalized Sketches...
...that's All about YOU!
1. I've been doing this art drawn entirely with a person's name, since 1985. (Wow! 25 years!...sometimes that seems like only yesterday!)
"Reader's Digest" version: I drew one for my brother, went to a store to get a mat and frame for it... & employees and customers stopped and asked if I could draw any image with any name...
(This was in pencil...All the art I do is in fade-proof, archival ink on medium to heavyweight art paper).
I took some orders that day, have been blessed and thankful that others have an interest in the Personalized Sketches.
IF you'd like, you can go HERE to read the original post on how I started drawing these.
***I am going to see if I can add this slideshow again (I had taken it out to see if Safari would open up.***
Music playing are 2 original songs from our son Heartbreaker that I have saved on our computer.

Maria, thanks for sending me to your giveaways. I usually don't enter them, but I love your work. And the eagle one really caught my eye...my 83 yr old dad's nickname is BUSH :)
And he loves eagles. What a great Fathers Day surprise this would be...
I've been a blog follower for awhile now...
And now I'll go to Face book....
Good luck to everyone :)
Thanks so much for stopping earlier - to answer your question about the red cherries...yes, they are all appliqued - almost done with that block - 112 cherries!
What a generous giveaway - you are so talented - have to say - my eyes focused on the beautiful monogram - I have a thing for old writing, script, calligraphy - especially when it is applied to an old quilt!
You know I love your art, Maria!!
Have a nice day!
I have been a follower, Maria. You are very talented and your have very smart kids....Christine
Your sketches are absolutely stunning, beautiful and artistic, as always. I didn't know the sketch is formed with names within them until now! (Shame on me!) Now I appreciate them even more. I'm so not a crafty or artistic person. But I surely do enjoy and appreciate your art. :) Thanks for this wonderful giveaway.
BTW, I'm hosting a tea sampler Giveaway on my blog. Please hop over to enter if you're interested. Have a wonderful day.

I love your art work. I'd like a design with Air Force emblem and maybe our names on it since both hubby and I served. Eagle is nice as well.
I follow your blog and am a friend on facebook.
Your art work is really beautiful and so unusual. A special keepsake to each one. I am a follower and want to thank you for this delightful giveaway!

Susie is the blogger behind it and she is gerat. If you have any questions at all, just send her an e-mail and she will help you. She helped me a few times. She is in London, so don't expect an answer the same day :-)
Hi I am linked to the blog party too. Here is my link click
I don't understand this though .
PSS I mean I don't understand your giveaway but thanks for clearing it up . If I win does it mean you will do a sketch of me ?
