CLOWNING around!

Last week, I was sooo late to "Class"!

So, this week I started working on my post  to get it together a little earlier.

I am  joining in this week's  Alphabe-Thursday's "C" with Jenny!
&

Here are a few past photos of our Cheery Children...

CLOWNING around!

This is Girly~Twirly and one of her dear friends
in front of our military housing in Alabama.
They were dressed up for...
our church's Pastor appreciation day- to sing a song.
~1993~

Girly~Twirly had on her daddy's duds...
...a striped shirt, tennis shoes, and a pair of his jammin' plaid shorts!

We stuffed the shorts with trash bags.
And I braided her hair around a coat hanger.
It's amazing to think that both these Cute Clowns are now beautiful, married women!
And her friend is a momma of two beautiful little girls.

...a year later, we moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma!
And again at a church function for the kids, we are once again...

CLOWNING Around!

Here is Girly~Twirly with her hair braided again like Pipi Longstocking's.

& Girly~Whirly and her hair braided up too!

& little Heartbreaker dressed up with his strong muscle pose.

Yep...I joined the kids too!
I was doing the facepainting table,
so we, girls, dressed up in matching poodle skirts that I sewed and matching hairdos.

The girls and I had to be careful that we didnt poke anyone when we were walking around! haha

My hubby wasn't a clown, but was our camera man.
~1994~

Here is Heartbreaker and his first little sweetie at the event...
I posted about this young sweetheart on this "Young Sweethearts" post.

Here are some past Clown-inspired art.

This one was for a baby's room, taken from a Precious Moments image that was sent to me to draw from.

This was a drawing for my hubby's Uncle and Aunt. She collected clowns, so this was displayed in one of her "clown rooms".

This order was drawn for Cookie the Clown, drawn with her real name throughout.

This order was for a collector of Emmet Kelly clowns.

This was also for the same customer, but of the bust of Emmett Kelly.

This last one was taken from an image of a French mime.

Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate your lovely visits and comments.
It may take a bit, but I will return your visits...

I am actually working on another post for Friday (This is a challenge for me, (which many of you know) that I am often able to manage only one post a week!)  I hope you get a chance to stop back over.

It'll be a great way to meet bloggers in the military community. (Thank you to those that have and/or are still in military service).

I am excited to host this week's wonderful blog hop "Mil Spouse Weekly Roundup", that was created by Riding the Roller Coaster.

What a fun way for a family enjoying life, just clowning around. You may not have many posts but when you do, they make up for it. I always look forward to visiting and seeing what has been happening in your world.

What a great post. So neat to see the kids all dressed up. I had to chuckle at the Heartbreaker's strong muscle pose. For about a year every picture of my son had that exact same pose!

Great pictures Maria. How did you get their hair to stay like that? I tried using pipe cleaners on my girls before, but it didn't look that good.

You are all so cute as clowns, Maria! I remember the kids when they were young watching them in church, school and Brownies' shows and that was a long time ago. Now they all have their own families. How time flies!....Christine
