H is for Hawaii...

Here are a few more photos from when my Hubby and I went to visit his family in Hilo, Hawaii.
In October of this year.

Taken before crossing over the bridge to Coconut Island.

On Coconut Island there are other amazing trees.

Fun branches to climb on!

I thought I would share a few of the "past and present" photos I wanted to take of a couple of places.  My Hubby so nicely accommodated my request and we took a quick drive to a few of these places.

So...For these next photos... I say "Hana Hou!"
*meaning in Hawaiian for: Once again, encore, repeat....One more time...
pronounced: "Hah-nah  Ho"

These from 1982, I shared on an earlier post.

Hm...even the coconut tree looks older... (The leaves you see are from a different tree that was nearby). You can see the same hotel in the background.

In 1982, sitting on one of the rock walls.

Here's pretty much the same spot...

You can see the buildings in the background in all three photos.

Oh and of course...this photo of my Hubby "back in the day" wearing those short military physical fitness shorts :o)  On the bridge going over to Coconut Island.

The same bridge and hotel in the background, but the handrails are new... and so are my Hubby's style of shorts :o)   (Still my Handsome Hawaiian Honey! :o)

**********

Also,  We Honor and thank all those in the military...past, present and future...

Happy Veteran's Day!

Here are a few past posts,  that make mention of some of the military men in our family...
If you do get a chance to take a peek at any of these past posts, please leave a comment at the ones you do stop at...

(This is neat to me that the title to this second post also has a lot of "H"s in it)
That is one of the things that I find I do a lot without realizing it...use a lot of alliteration!

Friday Photo Flashback.

Here are some past drawing orders completed.

Thank you Amy for your order for your boyfriend.  Please send our thanks for his service in the Fire Department! (My hubby, when I first met him, was in the Air Force as an EMT/Crash/Rescue and Space Shuttle Rescue Crew member.)

Amy sent me this email:
"Wanted to let you know that the sketch came today...that was quick! I figured it would be here tomorrow. It was in perfect condition. Thank you so much! I love it & I know Josh will too."

Thank you Nancye, for ordering this one for a wedding gift.
Nancye has been ordering Personalized Sketches art for wedding gifts since the 1990's,
as well as these for graduation gifts.
This is the War College Chapel that the couple was married in.

Thank you Susan for your order of this Major's insignia.
"I recently saw some of your beautiful work displayed in my neighbor's home.
I would like to purchase something as a promotion gift.
Would you please tell me how I do this.
Someone in my husband's office is being promoted to major and I thought it would be nice to have the major's leaf with their name on it.  Is that possible?"

"I received my order today!! It is beautiful!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful item.
I'm sure it will be a special promotion gift."

*Added on Nov 12th*
I tried to add these last two photos before I published this post, but the upload was acting up, so I am adding these now... (Mr. B had Veteran's Day off. so while I was at work, he stopped and left an unexpected surprise for me...this beautiful rose and sweet note....a "thank you" for supporting him throughout his years of military service :o)
Thank YOU, honey!

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.
I will be sure to return your visits :o)

I've never been to Hawaii and I am thinking that I need to address that situation sometime in the next year or two....

Love your Hawaii photos! I have to say that both you and your husband look so good today as you did in years gone by. Age has only made you better.

I wanted you to know that I've been thinking of you and praying for your dad's recovery.

Love,
Debbie

Love those same spot photos. What a neat way to see the surroundings change and you two stay the same! What is your secret? You both look amazing.

This was one of my favorite posts this week. It would be fun to do pictures like that of the Grands!

Thank you for linking.
