Thankful...

Thankful...my dad's surgeries are over.
5 heart bypasses.

Complications made the time in surgery so much more longer than expected.

But...Very thankful-he's resting in ICU til tomorrow afternoon.

...Very thankful that Aunt Peggy & Uncle Barney are there
& updated family.

...Very thankful 4 the surgeon, nurses, anesthesiologists
& those caring 4 him in ICU.

& Thank You 4 ur love, prayers, thoughts, well wishes, support.

Praise the Lord.

My word Marie, I knew he was having surgery, but not five bypasses. That is terrible. No doubt he is a stronger person than most. I do hope his recovery goes well for him. He will not be doing anything too strenuous soon. You take care and give my blessings and best wishes to your family.

I'm so happy he made it through ok :-) My father went through the same thing about 10 years ago now. It's scary to see your father weak and frail, but he's stronger than you think!

Between my husband and father-in-law, they have had 5 major heart surgeries in the past 5 years. Those hours waiting to get word seem to take forever, don't they? Glad to hear he's in recovery. God's blessings upon you all as he regains his strength.

Yes Maria ...praise the Lord!

I was praying for him earlier this evening so I'm glad to read this update. That's good news that he's in ICU and the surgery is completed. The first 24 hours are important and so we must continue to pray. I pray also that your dad will have kind but very competent nurses who attend to him. After all, the surgeons do their great work but it's the nurses by his side who are responsible at this time. And just maybe he'll have a Christian nurse. I can tell you there are many out there. :)

Sending you a long distance hug,
Debbie

I am glad that he is alright and I will pray for his continued healing. It is always a scary thing to have someone go through that.

My dad had a tripe bypass and then about 19 years later he had a quintuple (he came through both fine) and my brother had a triple and he came through fine too.

It's amazing what they can do now days, and how quickly they get you up and around and moving!
