3 Things you didn't know about me...

***This week, on TUESDAY, 7/14/09, the theme is:
THREE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ME (or US).
One:
I have been married to Mr. B for 27+ years. He is my Handsome Hubby, Fabulous Father of our 3 kids, and we are proud of his military service...my Awesome Army Aviator. (This photo was of him after his last flight as an active duty soldier... I had asked him to please take this photo for me to have...love my man in uniform :o)

Two:

We have faced challenges such as Mr. B 's robotic open heart surgery, in Atlanta, 1 and 1/2 years ago to replace the mitral valve chordei, by the leading cardio surgeon of that procedure. (He is doing great!)
...and our youngest ("heartbreaker") was diagnosed & treated for cancer when he was 14. He is healed and healthy. He's had many opportunities to witness the healing power of our Lord and encouraged many to support & volunteer for various cancer awareness organizations. (Here is a collage of him with his sisters during their 2005 spring break, and as the 2006 Georgia Ambassador for Children's Miracle Network, at his 2008 Make A Wish trip to Hawaii & his High school graduation). (He is in his 2nd yr of college).

Three:

Besides being a wife, stay at home mom, and doing the art that I've done for 24+ yrs, I graduated from college this May 2009. (hmmm, the oldest of my class in the Dental Hygiene program :o) By the grace of God & loving support of my family! (Thanks Mr. B for always encouraging me & thanks to my kids for inspiring me & thanks to my dad for listening to me during our daily phone calls. sorry for my whine-y moments :o)***

You look way too young to be married for that many years!!!! I love that you don't hold yourself back no matter what age you are. I am a life long learner and I think you are too. And your family looks so beautiful together. I'm so glad both your husband and son are doing well after their health issues. Praise the Lord.

Hopping over from the Blog Hop to say hi from Colorado!

I enjoyed reading your post and the love you have for your family is infectious!

My husband is in Army Aviation also. He's a Blackhawk crewchief with the Colorado Army National guard. What unit is your husband with?

Here is a link on how to type upside down

Type what you want upside down in the top box, it will type it upside down in the bottom box.

Once it types it upside down you just copy (Control and C keys) and paste it (Control and V keys) into your post where you want it. Super easy!

Awesome family photos. So glad that your son is healed and congrats on your degree!

Oh, and thank your hubby and your family for all the sacrifices you all make due to his being in the military. We appreciate you!

Hey Maria!

I've been loving the pictures you've been posting. That makes me think I should scan some of the old pictures I've got.

Later,

He really does take over her bed, and then he'll growl at her for her to keep away. However, she usually ignores him, lol!

Under the label "dogs" in my left sidebar is a post with a picture of her on his huge bed!

Hi! Thnaks again for coming by. We all planned the reunion, coordinated and made suggestions through email. My daugher searched on the internet and suggested about 3 places and the Reunion Resort was one of them. My niece called, got info and we all decided to go there and it was the most perfect spot for a reunion such as ours. My sister assigned people to different committees such as food, transportation, games and activities, etc. and it all just came together....Christine
