Recently, I have been working full time, for which I am thankful and it is a blessing.  With that though, I haven't been able to be visit the many wonderful blogs I follow.  But I do appreciate you checking in on me and leaving your comments.

I have been keeping up with drawing orders. Thank you for the continued interest.  It's always fun to see what those orders will be of.

Thank you, Pamela for thinking of having this drawn for Amy. (This one was a local order that was picked up yesterday evening).

Gee...it's gonna be hard to decide what to have done!  So many possibilities ;o) (I'm like this when we eat out too...I have a hard time deciding, so usually ask to be the last to order!)

~~~~~~~~~
and about my Sweet Surprise...
first I found this:
then opened it to find this...
and this...
This Portuguese Galo is perfect!!
My hubby says he'll have to let his brother know that "It's official...He, and not his brother, is the true "Portagee" (Hawaiian Pidgen slang for someone who is Portuguese) since we have the authentic galo from Barcelos, Portugal."  It is a running joke, that his brother always says that he is PURE Portuguese, in spite of the fact that they do have some Spanish, Irish, and French in their family lineage :o) and even if the other siblings say they are Portuguese with a little of the Spanish, Irish, and French...my hubby's brother loves to say that he is PURE Portuguese.
Nina, Thank you SO much!
It has been so much fun meeting you through the blog world and never would I have imagined that I would meet someone who is in Portugal and would bless us with a special gift!
Nina @ Portugal Bound has fun tales and photos of their whole family as missionaries in Portugal.  She has a great sense of humor and lovely, lovely kids... I am so impressed that the 3 older girls are attending Portuguese-speaking school and I am sure that their youngest daughter and their little guy will be fluent in speaking Portuguese also!  How awesome!
Blessings & Aloha!
Thank-you, Jamie at Beach Family Updates!
I've seen this award around and have always enjoyed learning more about blog friends...
The rules here are to pass the award on to 7 bloggers who I think are honest in their blogging and to list 10 honest things about myself. Here goes:
1. Some of you already know or have heard me say that computers are not my specialty...but I am doing better  as I do things on it more...and know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! (even computers haha)
2. If given the opportunity and there were no thought of how or how much, I would LOVE to travel...ANY where!
3. I wish that I could speak Tagalog (my mom's language). (actually, how awesome it would be to speak many languages!)
4. I wish that I could keep up with all the wonderful posts of all the wonderful blogs on my dashboard!
5. I need to be more disciplined at putting things up as soon as I am done using them and also be better at throwing stuff away! (I tend to hold on to some things thinking that it just may come in handy!)
6. I wish that I called my mom every day while she was still alive.
7. I want to live near ALL of our families! (with our kids in Kentucky, dad in Wisconsin, hubby's family in Hawaii, sis in Minnesota, bro and his family in California, and dear family in Alabama, etc... this is sadly, not possible!)
Art Blog Hop... Personalized Sketches...it's all about You!
I started this blog at the same time as my Etsy shop...It's a wonderful way to meet new people that otherwise, would not have been possible.
~Here are a few recently completed drawings~
The Kentucky map with the "My Old Kentucky Home" lyrics was a donation for the 3rd Annual Smiles for Life Fashion Show, Brunch & Silent Auction hosted by the University of Kentucky's chapter of American Association of Women Dentists.  This was held on Saturday, the 12th. Our daughters are involved with this worthy event. (with organizing, t shirt designs, modeling...)
100% of the proceeds support women and children in crisis and need of dental care in conjunction with the Bluegrass Domestic Violence program.  One of the speakers was a recipient and not only received dental care, but was diagnosed with oral cancer.  Currently undergoing treatments, she spoke from her heart and said without these funds, she would not be alive today.
~~~~~~~~~
Molly was one of the winners of a gift certificate selected during the Rooster Party Post.  She is a very talented artist and she sent a photo of one of her paintings for her 8x10 Personalized Sketch.  It is done with her name: MARJORIE.

~~~~~~~~~
Nancy is another winner of a gift certificate.  She sent me a wonderful photo of her and her hubby and used her gift certificate towards an 11x14.  Her image was drawn with her name: NANCY & her husband's image was drawn with his name: DICK
 EVERY drawing is drawn ENTIRELY using an individual's name.  ANY subject and ANY name can be done.  (I have been asked in the past if I do them on computer.  (Me & computers...hm...that's another story!)
These are drawn individually by hand.
~~~~~~~~~

& if you're curious as to how Personalized Sketches got started, please go HERE.

I will continue to post samples of Personalized Sketches that I have done, as well as, new orders along the way.

Thank you for stopping by, please leave a comment, grab a button, ask any questions or request...the drawings that have been requested have been of just about anything you can imagine...

Blessings & Aloha!

Time to Welcome all... & winners announced...

What a wonderful week! I've tried to get to all of the rooster parties and the Baby picture Blog Hop. Whew! There were so many and time just flew by! I have to take a breather and then get caught up on my regular blog reading...

Here's a little glimpse of our humble abode...
Come along... We've had a lot of rain, which has been great for the yard and plants. But, I'm so glad today is so sunny & gorgeous here in Coastal Georgia!

I also want to share a few other homes that I've "visited" over the years, through the Personalized Sketches I do...

I truly appreciate everyone for stopping by & leaving such sweet comments during the rooster party Bella Vista hosted last Friday. I made sure you were given an entry for each possible way:
1. just for commenting... 2. & if you follow... 3. & if you got my button and posted it @ your place :o)

Because of the response, I decided to have my hubby pull 4 numbers out of the entries. In no particular order... they are:
1. Suzanne @ Coloradolady

2. Sherry @ Ex Marks the Spot
3. Molly @ Country Memories Home Place
4. Nancy @ Bacardi Mama
Please contact me with what you would like drawn and with the name of your choice.

I'm thankful & blessed by the interest in the artwork that has been expressed here & over the years.
*I thank the Lord for the ability to do something that I truly love to do...

...I hope you've enjoyed visiting and remember:
"You're welcome back any time!"

Bouncing Babies...

I'm excited to share our Bouncing Baby pics on ROXIO. I won a yr's premium from Katie @Katie'sNestingSpot! Some of you know I'm learning, and learning, and learning as I go! ...and I may be a bit slow. (ok...maybe a lot slow...)

So...for your viewing pleasure! (& if I was excited to figure out how to embed the little Portuguese rooster video" on my last post...whoo-hoo...now, I feel absolutely "computer-tech savvy" excited!
...at least for the moment).

I thought "Bouncing Babies" was appropriate... some of us were a wee bit more "bouncy". :o)

Here are some stats:
*on the birth certificates*

Mr. B: a 10lbs + Christmas baby born @ 4:38pm, Hawaii.
Me: the smallest of us all (of course, that was back in the good ole days!) @ 7lbs + born @2:15pm, Philippines.
Girly~Whirly #1: @ 8lbs.2oz born @ 10:43pm, New Mexico.
Girly~Whirly #2 @ 9lbs.2oz born @ 1:40am, Alabama.
Heartbreaker @8lbs born @ 5:46am, Hawaii.

~~~~~~~~~~
Here are a few more babies...each drawn with their name.
The 2 boys are not the same, but coincidentally, drawn in similar names. Brantley drawn in 2006, Brant drawn in 2008.
It's been great having you here!
...I'll be checking out more beautiful babies on this week's blog hop...
Blessings & Aloha!
*added note: a blogger had emailed to ask about the 2 gift certificates towards a drawing order that I have on my last post: Tales of the Portuguese Rooster. No, it does not have to be a rooster :o) The gift certificate can be used towards ANY image drawn with ANY name.
...so, if you would like, please feel free to check out my Rooster Party & see how you can enter. The winners will be picked on Saturday (Sept 5th) after all the Rooster Revelry is done. :o)
